Famous Places near-by

1.  Peda Avutupalli

This place is situated about 20 kms from here on the Grand Trunk Road. It has become quite a famous place for pilgrimage so much so that most of the pilgrims who visit Gunadala make it to a point to go and pay their respects to the Servant of God Br. Joseph Thambi, whose sacred remains lie here. Faith in his power to intercede for those who seek his prayers has now spread widely prompting the Vatican to declare him 'Servant of God.' This is is a first step in the process for cannonization of this holy man from Avutapalli.
The Br. Joseph Thambi annual feast is celebrated on Jan. 13, 14, 15 every year.

2.  Tharangani Matha Shrine

This is another Marian Shrine located on the coast of Bay of Bengal at Machilipatnam, the capital city of the district. The shrine dedicated to Our Lady draws great number of pilgrims round the year. The annual feast is celebrated on the last Sunday in the month of May.

3. Siluvagiri Nagar

Siluvagirinagar was erected into a parish by bifurcating the parish of Nandigama in 1985. A shrine dedicated to the Holy Cross has come up on a small hillock right in front of the parish church.
